Vintage Tammy, Sindy and Tressy Dolls Gather for a Christmas Party
Noted by Taswegian1957 · 353 reads
Trixie, Paul, Patch and a growing cast of vintage dolls arrive at the Tammy house, where a surprise guest adds a playful twist.

The fun in this Christmas dollhouse scene comes from the mix of familiar faces and unexpected arrivals. Trixie, Paul and Patch reach the Tammy house early, giving the dolls a little time to catch up before the gathering fills out. Then the Tressys get their wish for a party, Casey and Ken join the guest list, and Marissa finds a way to bring Midge along—even though neither has been invited.
Early arrivals at the Tammy house
Trixie, the writer’s childhood Sindy, arrives with Paul and Patch before the crowd. That quiet moment creates room for Trixie to talk with her favourite cousin while Paul gets acquainted with the Canadian Tammy dolls. It’s a simple setup, but one that lets the different characters share the scene before the party begins.
The next snapshots give the reunion a bit of flirtatious dollhouse drama. Sindy asks whether Paul is dreamy, and he greets the Tammy dolls with a confident “Hello ladies.” The exchange brings personality to a display that might otherwise be just a lineup of dolls: a few well-chosen poses and captions turn the visit into a small story.
The guest list grows
More guests soon turn the early visit into a party. The Tressys have made their Christmas wishes clear: new hairdos, new clothes and a chance to meet some men. Army Buddy’s arrival brings an invitation, and the Tressys are delighted. The scene keeps the focus on the dolls’ hopes and interactions, with the party giving them a reason to meet and mingle.
Retro Barbies Casey, Ken and Skipper are also invited. Their arrival broadens the gathering, bringing another set of familiar characters into the Tammy house. The photos move from individual introductions toward a fuller party scene; that change in scale is part of the pleasure of following the episode, as the room gradually fills with guests.
Refreshments and a surprise guest
A busy party needs refreshments, and the kitchen becomes another little scene of its own. Mom is occupied with the food and drinks, looking as though another pair of hands would be welcome. The kitchen details help the party feel lived in: the guests have somewhere to gather, and someone has the practical job of keeping the refreshments ready.
Then Marissa spots a chance to bring Midge to the festivities. She tells her there’s a big party at the Tammy house and asks if she wants to go. Midge points out the obvious snag: it’s a retro party, they aren’t retro, and they haven’t been invited. Marissa isn’t put off. She has a dress ready and suggests that Midge carry something to help her blend in.
The plan gets an amusing payoff when Mom asks who Midge is and what she’s doing there. Midge can only answer, “I carried a watermelon.” It’s a wonderfully odd explanation, and its abruptness gives the moment the punchline the scene has been building toward. Meanwhile, Marissa has already slipped away to join the party.
This episode works through a series of small arrivals, conversations and comic turns. The dolls’ identities—including Trixie as a childhood Sindy and Tressy as a childhood doll—give the gathering a personal thread, while the captions make each photograph part of the Christmas story. One more episode is due tomorrow, with the party now in full swing.
